Production Manager

Job Description:
Delta Helicopters Ltd. is hiring a full time Production Manager, based out of our head office located in St. Albert, AB. The Production Manager will be responsible for planning, organizing, and tracking maintenance projects across the fleet and will work closely with engineers to seek the optimal solutions to maintain the serviceability of all aircraft. The Production Manager will actively participate in all aspects of our operations, including the development of related policies and procedures.  A qualified candidate should demonstrate strong leadership, organizational and communication skills.
Minimum Qualifications:

  • Hold a Valid Aircraft Maintenance Engineer Licence, violation free
  • Have at least 8 years experience in helicopter industry including at least 6 months in the last two years.
  • 3 years experience supervising, coaching, and motivating individuals/teams
  • Proven problem solving and troubleshooting skills
  • Hold a Valid Drivers Licence

Additional Preferred Qualifications:

  • Endorsements/Knowledge of Bell 204/5, 212, 206, and Airbus AS350 helicopter types
  • Experience with WinAir maintenance software

Key Responsibilities and Duties:

  • Responsible for directly managing, supporting, and providing direction and leadership to all members of the engineering team
  • Set production goals and monitor and communicate with maintenance staff while providing progress reports to management
  • Ensure Engineers and Apprentices follow regulations and standards set out by Transport Canada and company Maintenance Policy and Procedures
  • Coordinate with the Director of Maintenance on all maintenance and inspection requirements for company aircraft
  • Conduct maintenance on aircraft, aircraft components, ground support equipment, and operational equipment as directed by the Director of Maintenance.
  • Validate the Journey Log books and complete necessary work packages for work accomplished
  • Identify possible Service Difficulty Report (SDR) situations.
  • Provide consulting for clarification of defects
  • Maintain inventory control of the special tools’ cabinets

QUALITY ASSURANCE MANAGER

As we continue to provide exceptional customer service, Delta Helicopters Ltd. is accepting applications from qualified candidates for the position of Quality Assurance Manager. Based at our head office in St Albert, Alberta,this full-time position will report directly to the Director of Maintenance. The individual will be required to demonstrate strong leadership, and excellent organizational and communication skills. The individual will also be expected to actively participate in all facets of our operations, including the development of related policies and procedures.
Minimum Qualifications:

  • Hold a Valid Aircraft Maintenance Engineer Licence, violation free
  • Have at least 6 years experience in helicopter industry including at least 6 months in the last two years
  • Demonstrate knowledge of Transport Canada Civil Aviation Regulations as applicable to CAR’s 573.09
  • Be qualified as a QA Manager in accordance with the requirements of CAR’s 573.04(4)
  • Meet the training requirements as identified in the company Procedures Manual
  • Be able to successfully complete a Transport Canada Interview
  • Be highly organized and able to effectively manage change in a dynamic operating environment
  • Submit to, and pass, a mandatory drug test
  • Have strong computer knowledge including the use of MS Word, PowerPoint, Teams, SmartDraw and Outlook
  • Be team focused with exceptional interpersonal skills

Additional Qualifications:

  • Knowledge of Bell204/5, 212, 206, and/or Airbus AS350 helicopter types
  • Previous Quality Assurance / management experience in an aviation environment
  • Experience with internal and external audits
  • Perform Maintenance on helicopters if needed as directed by the Director of Maintenance

 Key Responsibilities and Duties:
Reporting to the Director of Maintenance, the Quality Assurance Manager (QAM) is responsible for theadministration and day-to-day function of the Quality Assurance Program as per the company’s MCM/MPM and Procedures Manual, in particular:

  • The QAM is responsible to evaluate the maintenance control through periodic and recurring internal audits to ensure areas to be effective in meeting regulations, standards and company policies and procedures;
  • Responsible for the completion of quality assurance audit non-conformance findings
  • The QAM is responsible for managing non-conformances, corrective actions and assorted reporting, working with cross functional teams to ensure effectiveness of the program
  • Participate in quality investigations
  • Maintenance of Quality System documentation and processes
  • Maintaining an Approved Vendors list in accordance with company procedures manual
  • Track all internal and external audit findings
  • Ensuring that internal and surveillance audits are carried out on the AMO and any external agency providing services to the organization
  • Provide training as required
  • Travel to company bases and remote locations as required to conduct evaluations

Full-Time Pool Pilots, Seasonal Pilots & Contract Pilots


Job Description
Pilots are responsible for acting as pilot in command and operating aircraft in a safe and effective manner. Pilots also act as company liaisons when communicating with customers. Pilots assist maintenance activities by communicating effectively with engineers and performing maintenance flights. Other miscellaneous tasks may be assigned by Operations Manager to meet overall operational goals.
Minimum Qualifications:

  • Must hold a valid Pilot’s Licence
  • Must maintain a valid Medical
  • At minimum must have 1000 Hours total PIC time
  • At minimum must have 250 hours turbine time acting as PIC
  • Have an endorsement on at least one of the following types: BH04/05, BH06, BH12, AS350.
  • Must be accident free in the last five years
  • Must pass a pre-employment drug test.

Additional Preferred Qualifications:

  • Additional endorsements on multiple company aircraft types: BH04/05, BH06, BH12, AS350
  • Mountain flying experience
  • Wildlife Survey experience
  • Confined area / unprepared landing site experience
  • Longline and Precision longline experience
  • Willing to relocate to one of our Base facilities (for full time pilots)

Additional Requirements for Day Rate Contract Pilots only:
Pilots that operate as independent contractorsseeking work on a non salaried, day rate payment schedule should have the following in place:

  • Day Rate contractors should have an established Ltd. company to invoice Delta Helicopters
  • Day rate contractors must provide a valid GST #
  • Day Rate Contractors must be registered and in good standing with at least one Provincial WCB organization, with valid coverage for work performed in Alberta.

Full-Time AMEs & Seasonal AMEs


Job Description
We are currently looking to hire both full-time and seasonal AMEs. Base engineers forrequired for our Fort McMurray and Lac La Biche locations and pool AMEs for our St. Albert location to be dispatched to locations where needed.  Engineers are responsible for inspecting, repairing, and maintaining the serviceability of aircraft. Engineers will ensure that all applicable federal and company regulations are followed, and all required documentation is completed. When not servicing aircraft, Engineers assist in maintaining other assets such as tools and operations gear. Other miscellaneous tasks may be assigned by the Director of Maintenance to meet overall operational goals.
Minimum Qualifications:

  • Must hold a valid M2 Licence and a minimum of 1 type certificate.
  • Must hold a valid Driver’s licence
  • Must pass a pre-employment drug test.

Additional Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience on multiple company aircraft types: BH04/05, BH06, BH12, AS350
